Azimutt is an open-source database explorer and analyzer that enables developers and teams to visualize, document, and optimize complex database schemas through interactive ER diagrams and advanced tools.

Azimutt is a full-stack, next-generation ERD (Entity-Relationship Diagram) tool designed specifically for real-world databases that are large, complex, and often messy. It provides seamless schema exploration, data navigation, documentation, optimization, and design capabilities, filling the gaps left by traditional ERD tools (which don't scale), data catalogs (focused on governance over relations), and database clients (lacking visuals).

The project solves the problem of quickly understanding and working with intricate databases—whether joining a new team, debugging slow queries, onboarding colleagues, or ensuring best practices. It's built for developers, data analysts, DBAs, architects, tech leaders, product managers, and support teams dealing with monoliths or microservices.

Created by Loïc Knuchel to make databases more accessible and actionable, Azimutt emphasizes performance, collaboration, privacy, and incremental exploration without requiring signups for basic use.
