Novu is the first open-source notification infrastructure designed to simplify sending notifications across multiple channels from a single API. It offers an embeddable <Inbox /> component that handles real-time delivery, user preferences, and workflow orchestration, making it easy to integrate robust notifications into any web or mobile app.

The project solves the problem of fragmented notification systems where developers have to manage separate providers for email, push, SMS, etc., often leading to complex custom logic and maintenance headaches. Instead, Novu provides a unified workflow engine, digest capabilities, and omnichannel support.

It's built for developers and product teams building modern applications who need scalable, customizable notifications. We built it because notifications are crucial for user engagement, but building them from scratch is time-consuming—Novu makes it plug-and-play while being fully open-source for trust and customization.
