A website dedicated to the fascinating world of mathematics and programming
Categories:
Project Euler is a longstanding website featuring 989 challenging mathematical/computer programming problems designed for recreational solvers who enjoy blending math insights with coding efficiency.
Project Euler is a treasure trove of over 980 progressively challenging problems that demand creative mathematical thinking and efficient programming to solve within reasonable time limits. Launched in 2001, it transforms abstract math concepts into computable puzzles, promoting "inductive chain learning" where each solution unlocks ideas for the next.
It addresses the need for engaging, non-trivial challenges beyond standard curricula or work tasks—perfect for stretching intellectual muscles in a low-pressure, recreational setting. Built by Colin Hughes for students hungry for more math, curious adults from non-math backgrounds, and professionals aiming to keep their problem-solving skills sharp.
The site emphasizes enjoyment over competition, with anonymous accounts and global stats highlighting community achievements across 114 languages and 220 countries.

dat.foundation
The Internet is broken – and we are using it to access and distribute all of human knowledge. Data monopolies hold and enclose upon personal & public datasets, threatening universal access. To tackle this problem, between 2013 and 2015 we performed a series of design & development sprints in collaboration with researchers, librarians, and civic technologists working to preserve the digital knowledge commons. Out of this research we built Dat, a distributed ledger & peer-to-peer data sharing toolkit.
