Stump is a self-hosted media server for comics, manga, and digital books, offering a fully responsive web UI for library management, reading, and organization. It supports OPDS catalogs for integration with mobile reading apps and emphasizes performance, low resource usage, and privacy.

It solves the challenge of efficiently managing personal digital book collections without relying on cloud services, providing features like granular permissions, reading lists, and a documented API. Stump is built for self-hosting enthusiasts, comic collectors, and manga readers who prioritize control and offline access.

The project is a work-in-progress (WIP), created to deliver a modern alternative in the self-hosted space using high-performance technologies like Rust. It's not yet production-ready but has a clear roadmap targeting stable OPDS support and beyond.
