Coolors is the super fast color palettes generator that enables designers, developers, and creators to instantly generate, explore, and export harmonious color schemes.
🚀 Overview
Coolors solves the challenge of rapidly discovering and creating visually harmonious color palettes without manual trial-and-error adjustments. It was built by Italian web designer and developer Fabrizio Bianchi, who created the MVP over a weekend in October 2014 to make color brainstorming effortless and fun, like a focused creative session.
Targeted at designers, UI/UX creators, developers (especially those using Tailwind CSS), and anyone working with visuals, Coolors has grown into a trusted tool for over 8 million users and top companies. Users hit the spacebar to generate palettes, browse millions of community creations, extract colors from images, verify accessibility, preview on real UI designs, and more—with recent AI enhancements for smarter suggestions.
Fabrizio continues to develop it solo under Coolors srl in Rome, Italy, adding features like gradient makers, font tools, and Pro subscriptions to support ongoing improvements.
