Font Awesome is the internet's most popular open-source icon library and toolkit, providing scalable vector icons for millions of designers, developers, and content creators.
π Overview
Font Awesome is a comprehensive icon toolkit featuring thousands of high-quality, customizable vector icons that integrate seamlessly into web projects with just a single line of code.
It solves the longstanding challenge of sourcing lightweight, scalable icons for websites and apps without using bulky image files, enabling faster load times and easier customization. Created by Dave Gandy in 2012 as an open-source project to provide free social logos and vector icons, it has grown into the default icon set for over 200 million sites, now maintained by Fort Awesome with both free and premium offerings.
Primarily built for web developers, UI/UX designers, and teams building modern applications who need accessible, performant icons across frameworks and devices.
