Gameyfin is like Jellyfin but for video games: it scans your game folders, fetches metadata and cover art using plugins like IGDB, and serves a sleek web interface for browsing, searching, and downloading games directly. You can share libraries with friends or family, access everything remotely, and customize with themes and plugins.

This project solves the problem of scattered, hard-to-manage game files across drives and platforms, making it easy to organize legally owned games without proprietary launchers or cloud services. It's built for gamers who self-host and want privacy, speed, and cross-device access.

Inspired by Jellyfin, it was created to provide a simple, fast FOSS alternative emphasizing community contributions, extensibility, and no paywalls.
